DESCRIPTION:Come and have a go at making your very own penguin ornament! This relaxed\, hands-on workshop is perfect for complete beginners (ages 16+)\, and a lovely way to get into the festive spirit. \nI’ll show you some simple slab and hand-building techniques using stoneware clay\, then you’ll decorate your penguin with black and white slip to give it character and bring it to life. \nOnce it’s finished\, your work will be fired twice in the kiln and it’ll be ready to collect in about 4–6 weeks – just in time to add to your Christmas decorations. \nYou’ll have everything you need to make one penguin\, and if you’re feeling extra creative (and there’s time)\, you can make some mini penguins too – they’re just £2 each. \nAnd of course\, there’ll be plenty of tea\, coffee and biscuits to keep us going while we make.
