Evening class starts Tuesday 8th Sept 6.30-8.30pm \nBeginners Watercolour Class \n7 week course\, £145 \nIntroducing the essential techniques to get you started with watercolour painting. Building your confidence and knowledge as we go. \nOver the 7 weeks we will include: \nMaterials and setting-up \nBrush selection and techniques \nWater techniques \nBasic colour theory and colour mixing \nWet into wet\, wet into dry and colour washes \nWorking light to dark \nPlanning and building layers \nMark making \nUsing masking \nThere will be lots of top tips\, helpful hints and plenty of experimentation and encouragement. \nClasses are limited to a maximum of 5 participants to ensure individual tutoring. \nYou will bring along your own core set of materials (list provided at sign-up).

DESCRIPTION:Description\nCome along to Unique Cottage Studios in Spalding to try this beautiful combination of traditional batik & silk painting. \nTraditionally batik is used as a resist method on cotton\, and a sticky substance called Gutta is used with silk painting.\nHowever\, you get the best of both in these sessions – apply the wax resist lines with hot wax\, and then enjoy applying the beautiful vibrant colours of the silk paint! \nSkills covered include: \n\nHow to prepare your frame\nUse of traditional tools\nCreating an effective resist with wax\nHow to apply the paint & create effects\nFinishing the product.\n\nNo experience necessary.\nPlease protect clothes as paints may stain.
